51 Medals for Africa and still counting at the London 2012 Paralympic Games

It has been a stellar, world-record-breaking outing for African athletes at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Only halfway through the competition, and Africa has a total of 50 medals with South Africa, Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Algeria leading the medal counts. Kenya has two medals, while Namibia has one medal. For Nigeria, all her medals have come from the Powerlifting Tournament.

Africa’s medal count is expected to rise as more Athletics action continues today.
