What Do Flamingoes and Black Maidens Have In Common?

....A place in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

Nigeria nailed it with a 3:0 victory over Colombia, courtesy Halimatu Ayinde's two goals in the 32' and 75', and an own goal from Diane Duarte in the 80th minute.

Colombia's Coach, Felipe Taborda, had this to say about Nigeria's Flamingoes: "...Nigeria are a very fast and dynamic team and we knew it wouldn’t be easy..."

Though Nigeria and Canada had a tie of 7 points in Group A, Nigeria headed the group by virtue of their superior goal aggregate of 15.

Nigeria will meet France on the 4th of October.

In Group D, The Black Maidens of Ghana slammed a 2:0 victory over China PR, courtesy Jane Ayieyam. Ghana placed second in their group with a total of 6 points behind the Germans.

Ghana will play against Japan on the 5th of October.
